How FidgetMe came to be
Share
A little over a year ago, I had an idea for fidgety people. I was going to make rings that could be fidgeted with while also being beautiful jewelry. It was a simple idea, one I could work on when the multiple sclerosis had me stuck in bed. When I'm forced into bed, I hate the feeling of uselessness and not contributing to the household. This would hopefully bring in a bit of income since I can't work a regular job.
Then the Universe hit me with the idea stick, A LOT.
While browsing beads on Temu, I saw these really cool 3D printed animals that had articulated bodies capable of movement. Then I saw the embroidered fabric trim. That's where the idea stick hit me extra hard and I had the FidgetPet™ idea. I use neodymium magnets to make 3D printed, articulated critters wearable on bracelets I make out of the trim. I also take perfectly good brooches and replace the pin with a magnet so they can be worn on a bracelet when you need to look more grownup than wearing an articulated platypus might indicate. (I'm not choosing sides here! Just acknowledging that sometimes people have to fit a certain style for jobs.) Now I have over 300 different bracelets I offer, a few hundred FidgetPets™, and a few hundred brooches. And because the idea stick wasn't done with me, I decided to glue magnets onto barrettes. I call them FidgetFancies™. The smaller FidgetPets™, like the geckos, tiny T-rex, extra small tree frogs, and many of the brooches can snap right onto the barrettes, letting you change your vibe without having to completely redo your hair. For the FidgetFancies™, I also offer silk and fabric flowers along with stars, hearts, lightening bolts, and soft fabric bunnies to name a few.
Now that you know how I got it to this point, getting it all online is a big task so please bear with me while I get stuff photographed and uploaded. Please drop me an email if you're looking for something in particular and I'll see what I've got.
Here's a very short list of FidgetPets™ I have
Platypus, Sloth, Capybara, Cat, Dog, Wolf, Jumping Spider, Tarantula Skeleton, Orca, Shark Skeleton, Tree Frog, T-Rex Skeleton, Dragons, Snakes, Butterfly, Dragonfly, Penguin, and the list goes on.
